How did God call you to DCPI?
“I have spent the past thirty years working in the business world (finance and insurance). I enjoyed helping people plan for their financial future while protecting their families and businesses from premature death or injury. I have seen the devastation a lack of planning can bring.
It became very clear to me, as I entered the later portion of my life, that far too many of us (myself included) had not planned for the most important plan of all, where do we want to spend eternity?
When I retired from the business world, I felt compelled to do something to thank God for all of the blessings he bestowed upon my family and me. Mark Williams is one of the pastors at the Chapel that my wife and I attend.
After getting to know Mark and the organization he works with, Dynamic Church Planting International (DCPI), I felt that this would be where I would love to spend the next phase of my life; helping DCPI accomplish their vision of planting churches all over the world.”
What is your personal vision statement or life scripture?
Vision Statement: “Finish strong, be accountable, and make a difference. I believe with all my heart that leading people to Jesus Christ and gaining knowledge of the gift of salvation is the most important and fulfilling thing I can do with the remaining portion of my life.”
What excites you about what God is doing around the world?
“God accomplishes his purposes by utilizing people. He invites us to become his servants. This is often accomplished by visions given to us.
I feel blessed to be part of the DCPI team working to see the vision of five million churches planted in our lifetime. I find the excitement and enthusiasm of the leaders and staff at DCPI to be a great form of contagion. I love the shared vision of DCPI – the planting of 5 million churches worldwide. I also believe DCPI’s philosophy that a church that is planted on sound biblical principles will give birth to daughter churches. All of this with the overriding goal, to reach everyone in the world, making the Gospel available to all.”
What miracles have you seen God perform?
“On a personal level, I have seen my 99 year old mother (now 102) come to Jesus. I have seen the power of prayer; sick people healed, lives changed, people whom were without hope find peace and hope.”
