Dear friends, We have the sad news to bring you that our friend and World Zone Leader, Robert Tomaschek went to glory in heaven on July 5, 2023. We are so grateful for the man of God Robert was, grateful for the legacy he has left, and grateful for the time that could be spent with him. Our hearts are split between the joy of heaven for Robert and the sorrow we feel because we have lost a great friend among us. Some of you have already seen our post on social media and have posted such kind, encouraging words and shared memories with Robert. Thank you! It brings us joy to see how many lives have been touched by Robert. Many of you have been trained personally by him over the years in a DCPI training. Others have been trained by those that have been equipped because of Robert’s influence. His heart burned with passion, and desire to see pastors and leaders planting the churches God gave them a vision for and walking in their God given calling. Let’s praise the Lord for the man Robert was and the legacy he left for us. Let us continue to pray for Irmi, his wife, and the family so that they experience the Spirit giving Shalom and council in times of sorrow. Some may be aware that Robert was in the middle of a health battle, and we are grateful for those that have been praying for Robert and the family. At the beginning of May, Robert made the decision that he needed to focus more fully on his health. With that decision he appointed Björn Lütke, who was already our Director of Training in Europe, to take over representing DCPI Europe as the Interim World Zone Leader for the coming year. With Robert’s graduation to heaven, Björn will continue as beforehand. Robert trusted Björn and asked and encouraged all of us to stand with Björn in continuing the work, while he took a step back. Now we desire to stand together unified in pursuing the vision and dream we have for equipping leaders to see Europe re-evangelized for Christ through the planting of new churches. Philippians 1:3-6 “I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” Let’s take together the flame of passion for DCPI that Robert passes on to all of us! Until All of Europe Knows Jesus, Björn, Stephany & the entire DCPI Europe Team
