Praying for Indian Ocean
india church planting movement in india

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.  Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Acts 2:42-47

When we talk about the INDIA World zone, it’s easy to think, “It’s too good to be true!”.  In the midst of countries, especially India, that have overwhelming needs, there is a great spiritual hunger with DCPI training more leaders in this region of the world than any of our other regions, often training the same number of workers trained in all the other regions combined!

Take some time to watch a movie or documentary about India.  You can’t help but be overwhelmed by the tremendous physical needs there.  As one of our staff said so clearly, “The needs are so TANGIBLE there.”  In a spiritual sense, it’s no different.  In this region where Hinduism, Buddhism and Islam are strong, we are seeing many giving their lives to Jesus, the true Savior of the world.   These tremendous needs are currently being satisfied with tremendous fruit.

Thank you for joining us as we PRAISE God for His faithfulness in Latin America:

  • The church is growing in this region of the world, especially in North India.  The infrastructure gives easy access to this area where the miinds and hearts of the people are ready for Jesus.
  • There is revival happening among members of older churches and the church planters, as well, with confession of sin, healings and other manifestations of God’s love being evident among them.
  • The Christians are growing and in most places are walking in safety as they journey with their bible-believing and Jesus-following communities.

Could you also join us as we PRAY for:

  • The many house churches being planted in this region, especially in North India. Most of these churches range from 30-50 people, with some groups up to 100 people meeting together as a family of believers.
  • Strong discipleship and training for the Christians of this region.
  • The area of Bihar, India that has been considered the ‘Graveyard of Missions’.   There is a movement happening to see a church planted in every one of the 45,000 villages during this decade.
  • The worldwide Church would rise up to help fund the training of leaders in this region.  $5 can train one leader.  With $80 a month for 5 years, a church planter can be ready for full support from the churches planted until his/her care.

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10: 23 – 25
