Praying for Latin America
"Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of the Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in his own time – God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of king and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen."
1 Timothy 6:12-16
This Latin America world zone has been passionately and faithfully serving in South America, Central America and the Caribbean. This group of committed partners stand as DCPI’s first zone to have trained leaders from every country in their region. They love the Church and each other deeply, working diligently to encourage and empower believers from across all stages and ages of life to build the Kingdom of God in their communities.
These committed leaders have been fighting the good fight in spite of significant political, social and economic challenges that plague their world. These challenges were felt before the pandemic, creating a diaspora as leaders relocated to different countries of their region. While these countries continue to be hit hard, God has strengthened this Body of believers giving them great vision and hope for the future.
Praise:
Many new churches are being planted with a new generation of believers thriving during these challenging times.
God is doing amazing work in every country in the Latin America world zone, including Cuba, Venezuela, Columbia, Brazil, Argentina, Panama and Mexico.
The growing number of leaders who seek to improve and evaluate churches in light of the truths in the Bible. They are seeking to be free of the errors of the past so they can plant and lead healthy, dynamic churches!
Pray:
The church planters and their families in their spiritual life, their health and their finances.
The vision for planting churches in new contexts to grow with new alliances formed with church denominations, mission groups and other ministries with a heart for the lost.
The hearts of people to be moved and ready to receive the gospel of Christ.
Protection and peace for those believers that are living in places where there is religious, political and social tension. Persecution of believers is happening in Cuba, Mexico and Central America. In other regions, socialism, corruption and gender ideologies are in conflict with sound biblical Christianity.
