Otoniel serves as Co-World Zone Leader for DCPI Latin America. Together with the regional leadership team, he coordinates trainings, conferences, and mentoring process focused on equipping and mobilizing leaders to plant churches in every country, city, town and people group across Latin America.
How did God call you to DCPI?
“Seeking to be faithful to the call that God has made us as His disciples and the legacy that has been given by God's grace, through the Mendoza Jimenez family, we came to know DCPI.
Otoniel and his wife, Joice, have decided to dedicate their lives fully to God—to serve Him with greater focus and effectiveness. They have served the Lord in Venezuela and as missionaries in Brazil, Paraguay, Panama, Guatemala, Mexico, and many other countries across the American continent, participating in numerous church planting initiatives.
God has led them to work alongside various churches throughout Latin America in partnership with the DCPI Latin America Team and DCPI NexGen Latin America.
Otoniel also collaborates with other initiatives and is founding a ministry to serve people in need in Tijuana, Mexico, with a vision to see it grow into a global movement. Its focus is on developing church planters who serve and transform communities, preparing the way of the Lord.
What is your personal vision statement or life scripture?
Life Scripture: Matthew 28:19-20 NIV – “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
What excites you about what God is doing around the world?
“I am really enjoying what God is doing with the youths of all continents in the world.
Everyday, He gives me the opportunity to live the great movements with the youth in Latin America that are committed to serve and plant new churches and spread the gospel around all the world.
He is our savior and has given us the Great Commission as His disciples. This is our
challenge!”
What miracles have you seen God perform?
“I have seen miracles of God in people’s lives. A lot were lost and now by the grace of God, are found.
One of the best testimonies I’ve heard of is Doña Fatima’s. She was a spiritist in her
neighborhood in Uberlandia, Brazil. And with a single decision of follow Jesus, God changed everything in her life. She became a new creation. Now, she is an evangelist in her neighborhood and she shared with me this testimony of life changing while we were on a mission trip to Brazil.”
