Fireside Chat- October

Greetings in the name of our Beloved Lord Jesus!

Pastor Euclide is one of the leaders we have had the privilege of training at DCPI.

In the Democratic Republic of Congo, on the north shore of Lake Kivu, near Rwanda, in deepest Africa,  Pastor Euclide encountered impoverished children and started praying and sharing Bible stories with them. These children went home and shared the stories with their parents, and parents started coming to hear from Pastor Euclide. So, a church of 250 members began!

In Pastor Euclide’s community, there are a lot of families without fathers. Fathers ran away because they couldn’t  afford to feed their children and they are ashamed.

As a result, Goma has a large population of single mothers, whose families are impoverished and at-risk. So, the church launched a school to teach young children academics and the love of Jesus. They have a program called The Esther Project, which teaches women about Jesus and sewing to help them support their families. When they graduate, they receive their own sewing machine! The church has a similar program for young men, providing training in carpentry, so they, too, can earn a living and learn about our Lord.

One new believer is a woman named Gift.  That is right.  Her name is Gift.

Gift had no hope because her husband passed away and she contemplated suicide.

When the church launched the Sewing project, she joined.  Then, the leaders shared Christ with her.

Gift gave her life to Jesus and started learning to sew through the church. After she learned, she became a teacher and now she is helping the other ladies of the church receive Jesus and learn to sew and make a living for themselves and their children.

God gave the gift of Jesus Christ to a woman named Gift.  And now she is giving the Gift of Christ and sewing to others.  That is our Jesus.

God’s Church is the hands and feet of Jesus in our world today. All over the world, God has raised up a massive army of church planters, who are equipped with DCPI training and ready to reach into their communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. And with this good news, they are bringing help, hope, and provision.

What an incredible honor it is to be surrounded by this army of men and women who love the Lord and want to see His Kingdom come!

Will you join me in praying for this army of church planters like Pastor Euclide?

Father, in the name of Jesus, right now, we ask for you to strengthen the army of church planters around the world. Equip them for the work you’re calling them to do, and provide for every need. Lord, you are the one who fights for your people, so lead the charge as we battle on in your name. Amen.

Until the whole world knows Him!
