|Dear Brothers and Sisters,|
This global battle against COVID-19 rages on, and our team at DCPI remains committed, focused, and not afraid, as we step into the second half of this year with God on our side. If anyone had imagined, in January of this year, what 2020 would hold, we would have been afraid, unsure, or even dreadful. But, God unfolds one step of His plan at a time, one day at a time, one moment at a time, so that we walk by faith in Him alone.
The great thing about walking in-step with a God who is big and all-knowing is that we can trust that when there is a battle, it’s not ours to fight. The battle belongs to the Lord!
When the world seems big, and the call to reach lost people seems overwhelming, we know that the battle belongs to the Lord. He is fighting for His Church, and He is equipping new leaders to plant new churches all over the world! Just this month, three of our team members trained 20 people from eight countries: Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Tunisia, Azerbaijan, Hungary, Canada, and USA. Eight of these 20 people went on to become Certified Trainers! That means, they are now equipped and empowered to train leaders in their countries! This House Church Planting training is so powerful right now in a world where house churches are, often, the only way people can gather to worship God! We are so pleased to announce that our House Church Planting/ Church Planting Discipleship material is now available in 19 languages!
The battle belongs to the Lord!
In a COVID-19 world, our true and lasting hope is in the God of our Salvation. He is the God who fights for His people and His Church. He can bring the victory. He can stop the Coronavirus and turn around the global economy with just a word. But, He is also doing something greater than we can imagine in such a time as this, and we wait for Him to fulfill all that He intends to do in this season.
Take heart, my brothers and sisters, 2 Chronicles 16:9 says, “For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.”
God himself will strengthen you in this battle.
And when you don’t know what to do, you can pray like Jehosaphat in 2 Chronicles 20:12: “We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.”
That is my prayer for you, brothers and sisters:
May God see you and strengthen you. May God fight for you. May you turn your eyes on Him when you don’t know what to do, and may you remember that the battle is the Lord’s.
