Fear Not! God Cares!

In this time of the virus, people are afraid all over the world. Recently, I noticed a sign on our community mailbox that simply said: FEAR NOT.

Shortly afterward, I saw my neighbor and friend, Steve. We met on our street…6 feet apart. Steve is a strong Christian. He said, “Do you like my sign?”

I said, “FEAR NOT! That’s a message people in every country of the world need to hear now.”

Jesus said, “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So, don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. Matthew 10: 29-31.

Jesus encourages us not to be afraid because our Heavenly Father cares for each and every one of us. Father God knows each of us so intimately that He knows how many hairs are growing on your head.

GOD CARES. God knows you. He loves you. He will protect you. He will provide for you. He will encourage and help you. God’s love and concern extends to your family and friends and church family. Trust Him!

The ultimate act of your Heavenly Father’s love and care took place when Jesus went to the cross on Good Friday to pay for our sins and then rose to life on Sunday to lead us to heaven.

FEAR NOT. GOD CARES. What is the Lord leading you to do now? How can you reduce fear and express care in the Name of Christ and his Church…in this time of the virus?

Bring some food to a neighbor? Call a friend and see how they are doing? Share Christ with someone online? Put a sign on your mailbox that says FEAR NOT? Communicate this message to your new church: FEAR NOT! GOD CARES!

Until the whole world knows Him!
