Director of Operations

Dynamic Church Planting International (DCPI) is seeking a Director of Operations. This individual will be responsible for serving the DCPI team by providing the organizational structure for the staff to do their jobs effectively. They will oversee processes and procedures, organize logistics of larger DCPI gatherings, and ensure the Central team and workspace at DCPI’s global headquarters effectively align with DCPI’s Five Million Church Vision.

DCPI is a non-profit (501c3) organization based in Oceanside, California with partners and staff working throughout the world. We train Christian leaders on every inhabited continent of the world to plant churches in their communities, in their languages. Because we primarily focus on supporting national leaders, we have seen God bring His Church to communities we could never reach in languages we could never speak. He has given us a vision to plant FIVE MILLION churches worldwide. We currently have over 500,000 leaders trained, who have planted over a million churches worldwide! Strategy Statement: This role serves Dynamic Church Planting International’s team by managing operational processes, technologies, services, office provisions, and legal so that they can work effectively and efficiently in a safe and healthy work environment, and together we reach 5 million churches.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Management: Overseeing standard operating procedures (SOPs), implementing and enforcing SOPs, database management, software subscriptions, and administrative staff. 
  • Facilities: Ensure DCPI Central staff have a stable and well-provisioned workspace. Responsible for leases, contracts, equipment, furniture etc. as appropriate.
  • Legal: Maintain federal, state, and local corporate records and reporting, Ensure Board of Directors minutes are cataloged, manage visa/immigration paperwork, Contracts, etc. 
  • Event planning: World Zone Leader (WZL) Gatherings, Global Vision Summit (GVS), North America summits/training, banquets, etc: Work in cooperation with other departments. Plan the logistics (food, lodging, transportation, etc.). Manage budget and cash flow, and secure cruise venue where applicable. Oversee volunteer event planning/logistics teams and lever their support in creating books and communication tools used at their event.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Passion for and commitment to the mission and values of a Christian worldwide training organization.

 

Day-to-Day Duties

  • Monitor and oversee daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the organization.
  • Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures to maintain high standards of performance.
  • Ensure that operational activities align with the strategic objectives and mission of DCPI.
  • Provide timely responses to government and legal communications.
  • Oversee the preparation and management of Operations Department budgets.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the operations team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review performance, set goals, and address any issues or challenges.
  • Manage key operational projects, from planning through execution and completion.
  • Develop project plans, set timelines, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work with HR and Finance to ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential operational risks.
  • Communicate and collaborate with team members and partners.
  • Address and resolve any operational issues or concerns promptly.
  • Prepare and present regular operational reports to the executive team, highlighting performance metrics and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of operational procedures, policies, and project plans.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
