November 29, 2021: An Unusual Form of Lung Cancer
Here is a message from DCPI President and Founder, Paul Becker regarding his health. Would you please join us in praying for Paul?
Hopefully, you had as wonderful a Thanksgiving. The Becker’s had a great one.
I want to take you with me on my spiritual journey and ask you to pray with us for healing.
What do you do when many Christians are praying one way and God answers in another?
Literally thousands of believers have been praying that the spot on my lung would be benign and not cancerous.
I am so very grateful for your prayers!
Cathy and I learned from my doctor that the spot is an unusual form of lung cancer.
When Jesus knew that he was going to the cross, He ‘went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.” 37 He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled. 38 Then he said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”
39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”’ Matthew 26: 36-39
God the Father answered Jesus’ prayer another way. As a result, Jesus went to the cross and shed His blood to wash away our sins. We have been saved and are going to heaven.
When God says ‘no’ to a prayer, we need to have faith that He knows what is best and He has his reasons.
As for me, yes, I was shocked and have been sorrowful and troubled with the diagnosis of lung cancer. However, God is fulfilling what he told me on my last Prayer Retreat. He is strengthening me and guarding my mind. I continue to feel well and strong. My wife Cathy and our adult children and you, my friends, are a great source of encouragement to me.
I am standing like a stone wall on the promises of God to heal me completely in the land of the living here on earth.
Please pray that…
- God will give great wisdom on December 1 to Dr. Kono, my new doctor at the best cancer hospital in San Diego as we meet with her about the way forward toward medical healing.
- God will surprise the doctor with a benign result and not cancer on my next liver test – a biopsy this time.
- God will protect Cathy, my family and the DCPI Team from the Enemy!
- Pray that the doctors are surprised by God’s healing and come to Christ.
