Matt heads up our Partnership Department and engages with our current training partners and new partners around the world.
The partnership department has a vision to connect with churches, denominations, institutes of higher education and missions organizations to help train leaders to plant 5 million dynamic churches.
Matt also leads our Africa World Zones as the headquarter coordinator for DCPI. He helps our African World Zone leaders and regional directors plan training events for all of Africa and mentors leaders in the United States and Africa.
He loves working with national leaders to help DCPI be more effective in advancing the Kingdom of God through church planting.
How did God call you to DCPI?
“God called me to DCPI when we were living in Africa as missionaries.
Prior to this I had been a pastor for 19 years and helped plant two churches. In 2012 I went through three of DCPI’s tracks of trainings and became a Certified Trainer. We returned to Africa and trained church planters all over East Africa until we joined the full time staff of DCPI in 2013.
God knew that Dynamic Church Planting International was where we need to be and we listened to his voice. ”
What is your personal vision statement, or life scripture?
Vision Statement: To glorify God and equip leaders to disciple others, plant churches and train others for the Kingdom of God.
Life Scripture: Zephaniah 3:17 – The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.
What excites you about what God is doing around the world?
“Everyone needs something bigger than themselves to get involved in. Training leaders to plant 5 million dynamic churches is the most exciting thing I can think of to be a part of. God is bringing people together from different nations, people groups, denominations and life stories to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the world. God is helping us at DCPI to network with leaders from all places of the globe to reach people that nobody is reaching. ”
What miracles have you seen God perform?
“Personally our greatest miracle was when we adopted our daughter from China. She was 15 months when we got her and she is a daily source of joy and God’s favor in our lives. Living in Africa pressed me up against miracle after miracle. Everything from seeing abandoned babies get placed in loving homes to watching pastors and leaders get trained in how to plant healthy dynamic churches to reach the world for Christ. ”
