To accomplish great things for God, we need to be ON MISSION.

In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus gave His disciples an incredible challenge that we know of as the Great Commission. Jesus said, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”

God has given us at DCPI the specific mission of equipping leaders to plant five million dynamic churches to reach the world for Christ.

For the disciples to accomplish this Great Commission, they would need to rely on the Holy Spirit’s empowerment, and they would need to maintain a laser-like focus on the mission. The same is true for us today.

Everyone ON MISSION realizes that they must be obedient to the Lord, by learning to quickly say “Yes” to Him and by learning to say “No” to anything that doesn’t get them closer to reaching their God given goal.

A picture of this ON MISSION life is seen in a pastor from Myanmar who, after receiving DCPI training, was called by the Lord to plant churches among Buddhists.

Being ON MISSION, this Myanmar pastor said “Yes” to Jesus and His desire to use him to start a house church planting movement. At the same time, this Myanmar pastor said “No” to everything that would keep him from fulfilling this God given mission.

One of the people who was reached by the ON MISSION focus of this pastor in Myanmar was a man who didn’t understand the salvation of Jesus until he was invited by a friend to their church. When he heard about the forgiveness of Jesus he realized that he needed a Savior and he accepted Jesus as his Lord. The young man made a commitment to follow Jesus for as long as he lived. This new believer is now ON MISSION himself.

What is God is asking you to say “Yes” to? How can you align yourself more fully with the mission He is calling you to?

To stay ON MISSION, what do you need to say “no” to?

The Lord has called you to Himself and saved you through the power of His Son. The Lord invites you to be ON MISSION with Him and He will empower you like He did this Myanmar pastor, to make disciples of all nations.

Until the whole world knows Him,
